My name is Nikol Gammalo. I live in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio with my husband, Tony, my daughter, Nia, and my son, Sam. I used to live other places where I could see the Poverty Line from my bedroom window and my Evacuation Plan was laminated and hanging on the refrigerator (just in case), but I find that living room furniture is comfortable and cable television is the equivalent to crack. Also, I have found my forever home in this little family of mine. And it feels wonderful.
I spend my time working as a Neonatal Nurse in a local intensive care unit, and if it’s going to be 2015 and not 1950, and I absolutely must have a job outside of my home…this is the one for me! Babies are awesome Croakers.
I write to clear my head…and to fill a hole in myself that begs for words, words and more words. I love to read books, the smell of books, the feel of the pages in books, and to fall asleep with a book in my hand. And…I just love to put my thoughts on paper (or the internet)…a place to complain or brag or whine or give thanks…a little place to call mine.
Welcome to my dirty pond.
